Jess Paddock - lung transplant patient

A very brave young lady celebrates her transplant anniversary

It’s not the first time John Rose Photography Ltd have met up with local teenager Jess  Paddock. Jess underwent lifesaving surgery having a lung transplant on the 9th October 2014

At the age of 2 Jess was diagnosed with having Cystic Fibrosis. She led a normal healthy life until she became very ill at the age of 11. Jess had to undertake many visits and stays in hospital, as well as having to have oxygen constantly to help her breath. Jess’s consultants took the decision to place her on the transplant waiting list.

We were invited to attend and photograph Jess, along with family friends and supporters who came together at the Chapel Nightclub’s Vestry Bar. They enjoyed an evening of celebration on the anniversary of a year since Jess received her new lungs.
